The County of Summit Department of Finance and Budget oversees $500 million in annual budget appropriations for every department, office and division across county government.  The Divisions of Office Services and the Division of Purchasing also fall under Nelsen's authority. 

Brian holds a bachelor's degree from The University of Akron, and is a distinguished member of the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States & Canada and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.
